I've nearly completed my first term as Wyoming House District #22 Representative in Wyoming's 60th Legislature. I'm proud of the fact that I've been productive as a freshman Legislator.

Among the accomplishments I'm most proud of are:

  • Successfully working to pass a Helium Tax Bill in 2009, which will bring in new tax dollars into House District #22 and the state of Wyoming
  • Helping to pass the natural Resource Large Projects Bills in 2009 & 2010, which will keep tens of thousands of acres permanently in ranching and will protect a large and important part of the Pronghorn migration corridor in HD #22.
  • Co-sponsoring the distracted Driving Bill in 2010, which will make it illegal to text while driving
  • Co-sponsoring the Natural Gas Point of Valuation Bill, which would have prevented a reduction in mineral revenue in Wyoming.  This bill did not pass, losing by one vote in a Senate Committee, but Rep. Roscoe has already placed it back on the Interim Mineral Committee's agenda for this summer and fall.

I sit on these committees: Minerals Committee, Select Water Committee, and the Brucellosis Task Force, all of which are of critical importance to HD#22.  Early this year I became the ranking minority member on the Minerals, Business, & Economic Development Committee.

I look forward to running for re-election as your House District #22 Rep. to Wyoming's House of Representatives and I think I can accomplish even more in Wyoming's 61st Legislature for our House District #22.
